Complementary Therapies

As part of our holistic and patient centred approach we offer a range of complementary therapies in addition to Chiropractic care. Take a look at our Meet The Team page for an intro to all of our lovely therapists.

Claire King is qualified in holistic, sports, acupressure and Indian head massage. Claire has been practicing since 2003 and uses all of these techniques to offer a remedial approach. Working with a combination of light and deep pressure according to your body's needs to address any specific issues you may have. Claire also treats pregnant women in their 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Massage is perfectly safe and is very much needed during this time!

Following a massage Claire provides aftercare advice in the form of stretches and other tips to help the positive effects of your massage last for as long as possible.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy that involves a pressure technique using the thumbs and fingers on the reflex areas found in the feet and hands. Hayley Bidwell is a fully insured Member of the Association of Reflexologists and offers a unique blend of holistic expertise and patient-centered care for men, women and children.

EFT & Reiki Treatments
Lucinda Peyton-Jones offers support to people with stress, anxiety, fears, phobias and pain through EFT and Reiki treatments.
Reiki can benefit all ages, including the elderly, pregnant women, children and babies and involves the Reiki practitioner gently placing their hands on different areas of your body. You might feel mild tingling, pins and needles, pleasant warmth or coolness, or perhaps nothing at all. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) works by ‘tapping’ with the fingers on our energy meridians (located around the head and upper body), whilst focusing on whatever is triggering those emotions.

Nutritional Therapy
Nutritional therapy harnesses the nutrients in food to help the body maintain optimum health. These nutrients fuel all the processes in the body. An imbalance of certain nutrients can therefore have an effect on the body, manifesting in minor or potentially chronic symptoms. Nutritional therapy aims to address the underlying cause of your health concerns rather than simply manage your symptoms.

The process starts with an initial 1 hour 15 minutes consultation with Lissa Leader, a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist. A bespoke nutritional plan will then be devised to focus on your area of concern and assist the body in restoring health. A 45 minute follow up consultation is recommended 6 weeks later to assess how the plan is working and whether any areas need to be amended. Test results (if used) will also be discussed and any new concerns that may have arisen.
